Hazel is originally from Asaba, Nigeria but she has spent the past four years in Attleboro MA, while completing her undergraduate degree. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture. As a student, Hazel held different leadership positions across campus; one of these positions included the role of the Student Trustee where she worked alongside the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board of Student Government Association. For two summers while Hazel attended MassArt, she taught a two-week architecture studio to a group of 12-13 year olds, which consisted of a series of architecture inspired slide lectures and mini-projects. As an aspiring architect and artist, these roles taught Hazel how to express her creativity and engage with her peers and the rest of her community.
After graduation, Hazel worked as an architectural intern at T2 Architecture where she worked on various residential and public projects. While working as an intern, Hazel was able to experience architectural design in a professional setting while observing and participating in the different stages of architectural design. In her spare time, Hazel enjoys running, reading, and creating floral and architectural inspired watercolor paintings.
