Alex Rithiphong is a designer from northern Rhode Island who holds a B.S. Arch and a Master of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Alex completed his undergraduate degree with a concentration in Emerging Technology. During his undergraduate studies, Alex curated his interests on designing meaningful and sustainable architecture through research and fabrication. From studying abroad in Spain and Norway, to researching mycelium for his thesis, Alex implements culture, inclusion, and sustainability in all aspects of his design processes. Alex joined Meander Studio in 2022 as a design intern and later rejoined as design staff. 

Alex is an alumnus and volunteer of the ACE Mentor Program of Rhode Island and enjoys mentoring students emerging in the architecture, construction, and engineering industries. He previously volunteered as a judge for the ACE Final Presentations, where high school students across Rhode Island collaborated to produce a meaningful design project for the RIFC Soccer Club. With these experiences, Alex is committed to designing with passion and practicality, and community involvement
