Historic Restoration Study

The White Farm house was originally constructed in 1795. Condemned approximately 10 years ago, it was previously used as a dormitory. Meander Studio coordinated a needs assessment study and is actively working with the client to develop design options for the property. The front façade is significantly damaged and the detailing is being recorded for replication. Particularly the front door façade as shown in the drawings below.

Historic Trim Details

After multiple site visits, photographing, and taking dimensions, our team was able to digitally model the front door façade using CAD and Rhinoceros 7. We were able to recreate the bevels and the different depths of the front façade by closely referencing the pictures and dimensions taken from site visits.

Massing Studies

Meander Studio did nearly 20 iterations using Rhinoceros 7 and conceptual topographic data. We created designs that were modern, traditional, spacious, and economical. Each design maintains the front façade, while meeting the requirements of the client.
